We teleport you to Japan in an instant. Once there we help you make sense of it.
Here we present a commercial project where we build cultural experiences. However, our method works for a multitude of industries, from real estate to show rooms. The common theme is bridging a cultural gap that exists between Japan and the surrounding world - but this gap is present in almost any industry.
The client - Tajimi Tourist Association
Mimir solved this problem by making the city ultra-accessible to a worldwide audience. We do this in three ways:
- A. By way of Virtual Reality, making it possible to actually feel what it is like to be in Tajimi irrespective of where you are.
- B. Telling stories that appeal to an English speaking audience.
- C. Presenting the whole package on- and offline to key users.
We build and promote the VR experiences on an English language site, along with engaging story's about pottery and life in Tajimi. In addition, apart from the Web presentation, we bring our VR goggles to a selection of foreign key users in Japan, so that they can experience the town visually with our high-quality viewing equipment. This can, of course, be done by the Association's own personnel as well. The virtual town can be carried anywhere in your pocket.
These features work for a wide variety of use cases, such as factory presentations, real estate, exhibitions, galleries etc., where there is a need to let a Japanese audience experience a place in another part of the world. In this case, we build the site in Japanese and adapt it to the target audience's preferences.
Take a look for your self at discovertajimi.com. The site is built under a one-year contract and is maintained and updated regularly by Mimir.
